Chinese Clothing
Among China's garment exports, 50 percent of exports are processed with imported materials; another 30 percent are processed with provided trademark, style, Chinese sell a 'Made in China' hat to Americans at one dollar, while Americans sell to Americans at US $25; a China-made sweater sold a minimum sale price at US $0.8 in the Autumn Canton Fair this year, but it is sold for over US $1OO after being arrived in the Unites States with an China OEM brand. Industrial people have pointed out that the biggest problem with China wholesale products over the year is that the performance of China wholesale products in the international market give a fixed concept on Western consumers, as "Chinese goods = poor-quality and low-price". In highly competitive China OEM market, some Chinese manufacturers even offer a super low price by reducing 8 percent of their price, in order to suppress competitors and obtain orders. The analysis of the price structure finds out that more than 60 percent of the profits go to sales channels, 30 percent of the profits go to brands, only 10 percent of the profits go to Chinese manufacturers who consume a lot of resources and pay out hard work in producing the shirt.
There is a good example, a piece of high-end shirt of world brand Hugo Bossfrom is sold at US $120 per at 54th Street in New York, the United States. In terms of garment production and exports, China is a big country, but in terms of textile and apparel brands, China is a small country.
